At 50% ABV, Primo 1861 Blanco Tequila is a premium spirit produced at the renowned El Pandillo Distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. Celebrated for its authentic highland agave forward profile and meticulous craftsmanship, the name "Primo 1861" honors Pedro Camarena Ramírez, born in 1861, who founded the first tequila distillery in Arandas. It's made from 100% blue Weber agave and cooked in stone clay ovens from Los Altos. With open-air fermentation in stainless steel and wooden tanks then distilled in copper pot stills, the utilization of 100% spring water from the ranch brings aromas of green apple, freshly cut grass, mint, and fresh dried earth. Silky and oily texture displayed with flavors of cooked agave, green melon, spices, and a hint of earthiness. Balanced sweetness with a peppery note, leading to a long, creamy finish.
