Montagave Vol 1
1 oz $30, 2 oz $45
Montagave "Exploración" Volume I is a limited-edition Añejo tequila that represents the first release in Montagave's innovation-focused series. Produced at the renowned Cascahuín Distillery (NOM 1123) in Jalisco, this expression is notable for being aged for 13 months in four hand-selected Grand Cru Bordeaux Rouge casks.
Production: Crafted from 100% blue Weber agave cooked in traditional brick ovens for 72 hours and double-distilled in pot stills.
Aging: Matured for 13 months in 2nd-fill French oak barrels that previously held Bordeaux wine.
Nose: Notes of oven-roasted agave, dried apricots, dark chocolate, and dried cherries.
Palate: A "symphony" of caramelized agave, toasted almonds, and black pepper.
Finish: Lingering traces of dark cocoa and orange zest with a warm, round mouthfeel.
