Etnica extends the La Venenosa line, featuring agave spirits from indigenous groups. This spirit, called Tutsi by the Huichol people of northwest Jalisco, was lost for 25 years and now has only one producer. Made from wild maguey Masparillo, it's roasted in a wood-fired underground oven, hand-milled, naturally fermented in a rock pit, and single-distilled in a Huichol still. Only two to three 45-liter batches are made each year. Tutsi has complex woodsy, citrus, and mineral flavors.
