Clase Azul Potos

1 oz $45, 2 oz $72

Clase Azul Mezcal San Luis Potosí is a premium, Joven mezcal made from the native green agave (Agave salmiana) of the San Luis Potosí region in Mexico, known for its unique herbal and mineral tasting notes. Produced in the Estación Ipiña region, near the Zacatecas border, where agave grows at elevations around 6,500 feet.
Flavor Profile & Aromas
This mezcal offers a complex sensory journey, balancing rich, sweet aromas with a distinct herbal and mineral palate.
Aroma: Notes of cooked agave, warm caramel, and green chile dominate, complemented by hints of sweet fruit, freshly cut grass, and subtle wildflowers.
Taste: The palate presents an herbal front, with layers of caramel, lime zest, and clove. Reviewers on Mezcal Reviews note a lingering mineral and spiced aftertaste.
Body & Color: It is a crystal-clear, full-bodied liquor with bright silver highlights.
Process: The agave hearts are slow-cooked in traditional domed masonry ovens, then crushed using a Chilean mill. The spirit undergoes double distillation, and the fermentation process uniquely uses "agua miel," rainwater collected from atop the agave piñas.
43% ABV
